Current works, where I am at
This is what I have done so far with my sticker book. I have created mood board on pintrest dedicated to each page that I want to design. I also have been doing some page traditionally then digitally and moving the drawings around and resizing them to make sure they fit on the page correctly and not to close together as when they get laze cut they won't be cut together or cut into each other. Or I have been doing them straight into photoshop or procreate.
My skull page was done straight into photoshop, and so far the rest have been done traditionally and then digitally.
This is my pintrest board for tattoo designs, I have referenced actual tattoos, flash sheets and drawings. Some you can see I have been heavily inspired by and have tried to recreate the tattoo with my own spin to it (because plagiarism an't cool, also I am not stealing the original work as I have changed it so it is not identical and I'm using it for educational prosperous and not for profit) and to see how they have done it and how it is executed. As I think it's important to have references to see how other people have done things so you can learn yourself how to do it but do it in your own manner and way.
As you can see there is not just one cohesive style as I like to look at all styles for inspiration and execution, because it gives a more wider knowledge of how things can be done and what is better for yourself. I also like to experiment with different styles and not just stick for one but for this project I have decided to look into neotraditional style and thought it would be interesting to look and non neotradition works and see how they can be converted to neotraditional without it being plagiarism.
So Far I have done, I have looked into skulls/skeletons, white on black, flowers and started designing or researching into the front page. I have also started research on my animal page, pin up page, and japanese traditional page, I also want to look into a nouveau page as that is were neo traditional tattoos originate from and nouveau tattoo style is similar to neo tradtional tattoo style. I am have quite a lot of fun with this project and am learning a lot of things not just about digital art and the soft wear but about tattooing and executing the style of neo traditional in my own aesthetic approach and manner.
