I have handed in my sticker book and I am done with my project that I have proposed to do for this class. Now I have decided that I will continue on making sticker and I will just keep adding and expanding the simple Idea that I had into a much larger idea. It will be like a base for a business that I would like to run. Though now I have to make sure I have all the basics things of a business, making a concert base before I just throw myself out there and expect thing to work and people to buy my stickers. I have created a name that I have been consistently using throughout this project and also within my own personal art projects. This name is my business name and what all the copy right for my stickers will be under. It All Goods I have social media pages that are used to show and display my works that I do that are under the same name as the name I have been used for my stickers. I Have an Instagram and a face book. Though I have requested for my display name on my Facebook t...

Project update Os far I am basically done with my project, all I have to do it gets the books printed and then die-cut them. I have done a lot in just one week after having the meeting with Lana, who happily gave me a more cheaper and quicker way to make the sticker book. she gave me a run down of how the printing process works and how I had a few options on how to make the book and told me the best and cheapest way to do it.  What I had to do was put my sticker sheets finished with my business name and have the designs not to close to each other, into a PDF with a 3mm margin because that's what her software its set to which wasn't a hassle at all.  She also told me that the reason why it is so expensive to print a sticker book is because of the process of die-cutting, and how it is trail and error and is quite time consuming as well. So I am better off cutting the die-cut lines myself with an exacto knife. Which I am ok with because then I know the cuts are how I want ...

digital work process. I ended up having a meeting with Craig's design and print, were we discusses printing and how to print the stickers. Where I didn't get the quote until after the meeting only to find out it was to expensive to do and a lot more work than I needed to do. As they were only going to cut and put the book into a ring binder, which is not what I wanted and it was going to look quite ugly and not look professionally done. So here I was back at square one, with all my pages nearly done and no where to get my stickers printed and cut. I also decided I wanted to display the stickers on a skateboard or on objects to put them in context for the book. After asking around if anyone new of a place to cut stickers and get stickers printed. Traci, who is my art history teacher told me about the lady who owns creativity plus and told me to send her a message which I did and I ended up going to see her on Wednesday the day of this class.  During this meeting ...

Project update As of now, I have nearly finished my sticker pages. I have 6 pages done, but I would like to expand to 8 pages and do more pages around girls, and animals. I also have noticed that my style isn't very NeoTraditional, so I do have to change my question or reevaluate it. This is so it is relevant to the sticker book. As I am still doing a sticker book based around tattoos and marketing. The main difference is the style change and how I have not stuck to one style through out this hole book, so I might do the different styles as a concept for my question and be like a study for this class. Key Ideas, Tattoos, stickers, 18+ and multi styles How can I create a sticker book that is market at young adults, 18+, that explores different styles and resembles a Tattoo flash book? This Question is more relevant and more accurate as the original one I had chosen, wasn't as focused down and was still unsure on how I was going to execute the sticker book. Or have an ide...

Starting the sticker book cover Learning how to use mask and colour For my front cover I wanted to do a demon mask inspired by two of my artist models styles. I also wanted to do it in the same colour pallet that they use, which is most commonly orange and reds. I also talked to my tattoo artist health about the masks, and he gave me great advice on how it should base the mask of a real mask to understand dimension and highlighting better and showed me the masks they had up in throne room tattoo parlor. He said they all use those masks as references when they design masks as tattoos. So when I do my sticker page on demons and mask I would reference real masks rather than looking at how they drew their masks. Mike (tutor) also recommenced this when I said I was going to do a mask for the cover of my sticker book. this was great he also showed me how to colour and use the masks properly as I didn't quite understand how they worked in the first place and how people used them for do...
