Process on Project

I have now done two more pages on the book, I am looking into the contrast between red and black for one of the pages, and how that is commonly used in neo-traditional style. I am also looking into more into layouts and how it affects the page and style. I still have to put my business name next to each of the stickers for it to be a marketing piece. I am still not putting colour into the book just yet until I have completed all the drawings outlining and the page layout. I think it is a more valuable way to use my time as I can make sure layout is correct and see how the end of the book will look like before it is fully finished. This is because the cutting process of the book is very important as if I have things to close together or it doesn't look cohesive enough throughout the book I might have to take things out or move things around and I don't want to do that with fully finished products. This also allows me more time to learn and play around with colour during the two-week break and in class so I can ask questions and learn more things and also be shown how to execute the colouring technique. 

When seeing the sketch next to the digital outcome you can see how I have changed the layout, sizing and how I have changed the original sketch to fit the page better. and make it more cohesive. For the female sexual page, I looked into red high lighting, using different brush textures, and different styles. 

I have realised that my style throughout this whole process has been changing, and has been exploring different styles of drawings. So I'm not just looking into Neo-Traditional style I'm looking into many different styles, which I think is interesting and better for me as I am learning more than just one style at a time. Though I will try to keep most of it Neo-Traditional as that is what I said I would be doing in my proposal but, I did also state that I was ok with experimentation because I think it is important with what I am doing I'm trying to appeal to a market of 18+ which I think is a hard market to please. So maybe it has many different styles will make it more appealing because there can be something for everyone? though I'm not sure yet, I will go back through this book as I said before to add colour and make it more cohesive. 

I am also struggling to find it hard to promote safe sex as I am just finding myself making provocative content and not thinking about who this is promoting safe sex. So I do think I need to further look into that more and figure out how I should go about this. As I was aware from the start as soon as I thought of that idea that it was going to be hard to commit to marketing that while also marketing something such as 18+ stickers.

I'm not the best at drawing animals so this animal page is a bit harder than I thought it was going to be because now I have to figure out what I can draw or how I can draw animals in a better way. This page along with the skeleton will probably be the ones I spend the most time on because I'm not the best at those to subjects but I want to get better at them. So I will spend more time on perfecting those ones that others because I think it will pay off more.
