Final background marble testing.

Starting Main Final Project
For my main final project, I am going to make two main paintings where I will recreate two different birth of Venus paintings in an abstract marble painting, with 4 smaller marble abstract paintings so it will act as a set of study paintings.
After watching multiple videos and reading blog entries from other artists. I have found that there are multiple ways of doing the marble effect it just depends on which medium you want to use with the paint and using water isn't one of the options as it doesn't make it the right consistency you need to make the paint move around the canvas. I also realized the way that I was putting and layer the paint onto the canvas was also one of the factors on why It wasn't moving around the way I wanted it to or having the right effect of the paint.
Though I did notice that because of using Elmer's glue at as liquefier to make it a runnier consistency so it could move around the canvas better. Which worked very well and a lot better than I thought it would though it made a few bubbles, and after a bit of research all I need to do to get rid of them by spraying over it with rubbing alcohol.
The ratio with glue is about 1:1 depending on the acrylic mix if it's water or oil-based. As some Water-based acrylic paints are already liquid-like enough it doesn't deep as much glue as it just makes it a thicker constancy.
I also tested on where to place the paint of the canvas before moving it around because one thing I noticed while watching Videos and reading was that depending on where you place the paint can change the way the marble effect looks. So I tried two different ways to see which one looks the nicest.
The first try was with layering each colour and then moving it around the canvas which makes one cohesive pattern, unlike having the clours all spread out around the canvas before moving them around to make a messier and mixed pattern.
I would like to do more of these and experimenting with different colours, to see how they will differ from each other. I would like to keep to a nice cohesive theme with the marble appearance. As for my final hand in, I would like to hand in more than just one painting. I would like to hand in a series of paintings.
I would like to do some abstract marble paintings and then one large abstract painting with a self-portrait on it. I am just struggling to pick what aphrodite painting I would like to reference. As I'm worried that if I don't pick a pinting that everyone knows no one will get that I'm referencing aphrodite and it's just a nude self-portrait.

Some self-portrait experiments and tests.

I like the concept of this idea but I think without the black it loses definition and you can't really see what it actually is |

This one by far is my favorite one |
